[for some of us, it's kinda Halloween every day] - but mostly it's a big excuse to PARTY!!
Dark-Cide rarely ever gets to do Halloween parties for various reasons, so this year we thought we'd have our own very special version on a day of our choosing.
It's a great excuse to dress up (though costumes are never mandatory) and there'll be prizes for the best dressed.
We'll be decorating the upstairs Clubroom of 53 Degrees and blasting out 5 hours of our trademark big mix of things. Classic tracks and obscure gems, new things and the twisted, delicious, explosive and sublime. All aimed at the dancefloor, and moving quickly from one genre to the next so you're never a couple of tacks away from songs you'll love.
This also being one of the very first events during Freshers Weeks, we're also part of UCLAN SU's fabulous wristband offer. So the first 100 Freshers to come along get in completely free. Pritchard and Dainton have been good friends for over 22 years due to their love of skateboarding. Years of travelling the world together on numerous skate tours, demos and competitions meant they quickly made a name for themselves in the skate industry.
Due to their skill and dedication to skateboarding they both turned professional, later having over 20 skateboards named after them. Not only were they known for their skateboard ability but they were slowly making a name for themselves for being the jokers and pranksters and causing chaos wherever they went and at every party they attended.
Because of their behaviour and their love for skateboarding they decided to capture it all on camera and in the year 2000 they released the most talked about skate video ever produced titled “PRITCHARD VS DAINTON”. It was the biggest skate video to ever hit the International scene which generated a lot of interest in the skate community and eventually the British media. With big magazines like Loaded, FHM, The Face and a 10 min documentary on channel 4’s TV show ‘Passengers’ they then slowly became household names.
