Fresh from tours with Elliot Minor and Breathe Carolina, Me vs Hero will be coming to 53 Degrees in Preston on 5th February to headline a huge bill of fresh talent from the North-West.
Described as ‘a five-piece from Blackpool, UK who love pop-punk and beatdowns, for fans of Set Your Goals and Four Year Strong’, the band have already attracted rave reviews from the big guns of the national rock press and 2010 is looking to see a real breakthrough for Me vs Hero into the public consciousness.
"Throwing together gang vocals, hyper active pop punk verses and infectious choruses." - Big Cheese
"Expect them to be the soundtrack to your summer !" - Rock Sound
"Their splicing of a pummelling rhythm section with bags of excitable melodies is a winning formula !" – Kerrang
Me vs Hero have two releases already under their belt, their eponymous debut EP in January 2009, and a limited edition CD ‘This one’s for our friend’ released at the end of 2009 as a tribute to former guitarist Alex McCulloch who died in a tragic accident in 2008. A new record is planned for release in spring 2010.
The support line up on 5th February includes Elias Last Day, one of the hardest working young bands in Preston, if not the country. Constantly touring and refining their sound since they formed in 2004, they’ve now built a reputation for an intense live experience and a strong individual sound. New CD ‘Reinvention’ is due for digital release in February.
Also on the bill are Charlies Hero, who build incredible soundscapes with their hypnotic and largely instrumental style, and opening will be brand new band Next Stop Atlanta, featuring ex-members of Yes Sensei.
