The Birthday Massacre's unique sound and visuals comes to 53 Degrees as part of their UK tour to promote their astonishing new album 'Pins and Needles'. This is produced by Dave Ogilvie (Skinny Puppy, NIN, Marilyn and David Bowie) who also produced their acclaimed previous album 'Walking with Strangers'. They've played all round the world to their devoted fans and are bringing their high-energy show to Preston for the very first time.

Their music spans many genres to create powerful and darkly beautiful intense rock that defies categorisation. Hence why we've put a collection of their videos below and a link to their myspace for those who haven't heard them to check out.

Support comes from felow Canadians Raggedy Angry, who also have a new album out (and also produced by Dave Ogilvie!). Their music also defies categorization and they describe themselves as 'a fusion of sounds ranging from synth-pop, alternative rock, punk and metal'. They've also been compared (and supported) Mindless Self Indulgence and put on a live show that bursts with energy, fun and intensity.

This event is co-promoted by local Goth/Industrial/Alt event DARK-CIDE, who have been holding very popular club events at 53 Degrees for the last year. They'll be playing DJ sets between the bands, and their main resident DJ will also be onstage early on as she plays bass in our 2nd support band, UK Glam/Goth rockers Uninvited Guest who have been headlining underground festivals and events throughtout the UK. Their flamboyant visuals and intricate music cobmine to make a very entertaining live show and this event is the only date on the UK tour to feature them.
