So, with Coda closing, Beats of Rage has been faced with a bit of a dilemma. Since moving up from our initial house parties, The Venue/Coda has been home to BOR for 2 whole years, and we've had some amazing parties. So, when we found out we had to leave this amazing place, we were a bit panic-stricken. But Pete Of-Rage always has a plan.
We've been asked by loads of different people where we're going, and where the party will be carrying on at...
Well, the answer is EVERYWHERE.
We reckon that after 2 years of being in the same place, it's time to shake shit up a bit, go back to our roots and host some special one-off parties all over Preston, and inject some filth back into this city!
So, for our first party, we've teamed up with the shiny shiny 53 degrees for a super-sexy party. If any of you cats were at Promo when we DJed, they will know just how much the place went off! The soundsystem is incredible, the drinks are dirt cheap and we have a super special weapon up our sleeve:
JAYMO & ANDY GEORGE (Radio 1 // Moda)
Two of the hottest names in Electro/Fidget/Nonsense at the moment, Jaymo & Andy George are taking the world by storm. After hosting their infamous nights at Moda, the pair won a residency on Radio 1's In New DJs We Trust, getting the backing from the likes of Pete Tong and Kissy Sell-Out. Since then, the pair have been all over the world, rocking shows and destroying every place they've played. And we've not even talked about their tunes yet! Two of the hottest producers on the planet, Jaymo & Andy have been responsible for some massive dance-floor bombs! Andy’s ‘Big Dipper’ was one of 2008’s most popular jump-up Electro tracks, prompting a flurry of remixes for scene-leaders Lord Skywave, Toddla T & Jokers Of The Scene.
CONTORT YOURSELF DJs
Last time they visited, these two cheeky chaps smashed it. A Manchester institution, Contort Yourself has been partying hard for years, providing the city with some incredible, memorable nights. And behind all that mayhem are these boys. Two of the most talented DJs from the Manky city, the chaps are super-psyched to be playing Preston again. And we can't wait to have them on.
So, exciting times ahead! We reckon that it's you guys, and not Coda, that makes Beats of Rage so special. "A church is the congregation, not the building."
We're gonna continue putting on super sexy parties, and you lot can make them something a little bit special.
