Ever since the return of original singer Stephen Holt in 2011, The Inspirals have been keeping busy with tours in the UK and abroad, as well as releasing two great new singles - 'You're So Good For Me' (2012) and 'Fix Your Smile' (2013) on Tim Burgess' O Genesis imprint. This year, the band finally unveil their first studio album in twenty years, which will boast both singles plus ten new compositions.

"Since 2011, we've steadied the ship and we're sailing on," explains guitarist Graham Lambert. "It's been a breath of fresh air creating new songs with Stephen - his input has given us a fresh impetus. There was no sane logic why we didn't do it a decade ago. Getting home from rehearsals and playing back a new song in the middle of the night is such a thrill. A new album seemed impossible a couple of years ago: now it's a reality!"

The band's new album - which will be entitled simply InspiralCarpets - was released inOctober 2014. There's already a huge buzz about the record, from fans and press alike, who have been chomping at the bit to hear the revived band's first full record in years.

As a precursor to this, Cherry Red Records also recently reissued the Inspirals' legendary demo tape, Dung 4, considered by Inspirals' keyboardist and XFM DJ extraordinaire Clint Boon to be the band's debut proper. A limited edition vinyl version for Record Store Day, featuring all eleven original tracks remastered, with a bonus 7" EP of earlier four-track demo 'Cow' (1987), 'Dung 4' proved so popular that the band have now put the collection out on CD / Download for general release.

Joining Inspiral Carpets are Manchester garage rockers Brown Brogues and Stockport's psychedelic revivalists Blossoms, who the NME described as "Classic British pop songwriting".

Don't miss this iconic band, performing hits like 'This Is How It Feels', 'Two Worlds Collide' and 'She Comes In The Fall', alongside brand new material.
