Electro-Cide is back out of stasis and powering up it's electroshocks, blastbeats and euphoric resonators to bring you a night of pure electronic partying and carnage. We're upstairs in the fabulous 400 capacity Clubroom of 53 Degrees - voted 'Best Campus Venue' 2011, and have the mighty SAM (Germany) flying in to play a devastating live set. Plus we've also got the legendary Geoff Lee of Modulate / resident DJ of MUTATE @ The Wendy House [Leeds] coming in as our very special guest DJ.

Electro-Cide has a history of putting some of the best acts in the scene - with Austria's Nachtmahr and Germany's Phosgore playing some devastating shows and all saying just how good the venue was. This time we're going for the incredible SAM who we've been playing tracks and remixes of for years at Electro-Cide and who are set to demolish us with one of their legendary live performances.

SAM Biog ....

http://www.project-sam.com

Founded by the highly explosive duo Joel Meyer and Daniel Meyer, the industrial-project "SAM" released their first output "Demo Lition" in 2004. Directly afterwards they got signed by ProNoize, one of the most popular labels for industrial music. In 2006 ProNoize released SAM's debut album "Synthetic Adrenaline Music", including the clubhit "24 Stunden", which promptly entered the German Alternative Charts (DAC) as well as several other German and international charts.

Motivated by this achievement SAM started working on their second disc "Destruction Unit" in 2008, which was harder than ever. That certainly worked out and the success proves them right. Meanwhile they established their reputation as an excellent live-act. Their uncompromising and powerfull live performance provided them many shows both in Germany and abroad. In addition they supported giants of the electro scene like Combichrist, Agonoize or [:SITD:], and also played on known festivals like the Wave Gotik Treffen and the Canadian Kinetik Festival.

No doubt, SAM have become an industrial-/electro-reference, that shouldn't be missing in any DJ case or at any ride with over 130 MPH on the freeway.

In 2010, the long awaited third album "Brainwasher" was released as a limited digipack. It contains 13 mindblowing tracks including the hit-single "Bull Fucking Shit".

The sound has noticeable developed and progressed. Now it rolls unstoppable like a steamroller, crushing everything on it's way. Groovy basslines, screaming synths, intelligent sampling and bloodcurling drumbeats have been and always will be the trademark of SAM.

SAM - TWO RULE THEM ALL

Geoff Lee Biog ....

Geoff is one of THE leading figures in the UK scene and we're delighted to have him come up for this very special Electro-Cide. Mainman of Modulate who have enjoyed worldwide success and long standing resident DJ of the MUTATE room at The Wendy House in Leeds, Geoff will be playing his trademark dancefloor smashing mixes along side some new material from the forthcoming Modulate EP.

Modulate Biography - Robot loving electro heads.
Jacked up dirty beats at an old skool rave in a run down warehouse club with the best bass rig you've ever heard...arms reaching for the lasers while The Chemical Brothers, Boys Noize, Daft Punk and The Prodigy have a knife fight over who is coolest.

The band have supported Alec Empire (UK leg Past, Present, Future tour), VNV Nation and Combichrist on major international tours as well as festival appearances and headline shows around the world.

After scoring dancefloor success with his own material, the Skullfuck EP & Detonation LP, Modulate has become one of the hottest remixers in the alternative electro scene, producing mixes for bands such as Suicide Commando, Grendel, Faderhead, Soman and Nachtmahr.

Modulate headlined the DV8 festival (UK) in 2010 and co-headlined the WerkII venue at WGT, Leipzig, (DE). The band return in 2011 with a new EP and album before hitting the festival and tour circuit again with dates in the UK, Canada, mainland Europe and the USA.

This will be Geoff's second appearance at Electro-Cide. The first was back in 2008 when he played sets as part of Modulate's album release for the amazing 'Detontation' (which we've also been playing tracks from ever since).

Playing DJ sets in between will be resident DJ Jane Dalton (Dark-Cide/Electro-Cide). She will be playing a huge mix of harsh Industrial, EBM, Hard Dance, Gabba, Hardstyle, Futurepop and more - all aimed to ignite on the dancefloor and keep the party bouncing and banging.
