Dig out those leg-warmers and afro wigs, the 70’s and 80’s cult disco sensation of Roller Disco is back at 53 Degrees.
Putting the fun back into going out, the party starters at Superfunk Roller Disco have revolutionised clubbing with the aid of roller skates, loud clothing and funky disco grooves and are bringing the Roller Disco experience back in to town on Saturday 19th September 2009.
With 600+ pairs of skates from adult UK sizes 2 to 12 for hire and the option to bring your own, everybody can join in the party, and if you’re taking a break or waiting to skate, the spectator area, with fully licensed bar, will let you get grooving without moving. DJ Simba will be playing a soundtrack of the finest vibes from the 70’s and 80’s, guaranteed to put the glide in your slide and some dip in your hip, and if you want to dress up to get down, make it loud and wear it proud.
Superfunk Roller Disco offers skaters of all abilities the chance to bounce, boogie and roll the night away. Capacity at the venue will be limited, so to cater for demand there will be 2 shows, the first from 7pm - 10pm, providing a great way to warm up your evening with some roller funkin' fun, and the second will run from 10.30pm – 1.30am so you can round off the night with some skate disco action. The Superfunk Roller Disco team promote responsible drinking with skaters reminded that excessive alcohol may impede their skating ability or give them false confidence in their disco boogie skills, which may lead to them putting themselves at risk of injury.
