Legendary German guitarist Michael Schenker heads to 53 Degrees this summer for a show that promises to be truly electrifying.

One of the most recognisable names in the classic rock scene, Schenker is the founder member of the Scorpions who built his career on a temperamental relationship with the band UFO. After leaving UFO in 1979, he founded the Michael Schenker Group (MSG), which has survived various incarnations up to and beyond a triumphant 25th anniversary tour in 2005. Continuing to tour annually, Michael Schenker received the Marshall '11' Award from Classic Rock Magazine in 2010, and rocked High Voltage Festival 2011. Now he's back with the "Temple of Rock" world tour.

Boasting Ex-Scorpions stars Herman Rarebell and Francis Buchholz on drums and bass respectively, MSG stalwart Wayne Findlay on keyboards and the magnificent Doogie White (ex Rainbow / Yngwee Malmsteen) on vocals, “Temple Of Rock 2013” concerts will include a plethora of hits spanning Michael Schenker’s colourful career, including UFO’s “Rock Bottom" and "Doctor Doctor", MSG’s "Armed and Ready" and "Into The Arena", and Scorpions classics like "Another Piece of Meat" and "Rock You like a Hurricane".

Schenker will also be performing songs from the recently released "Temple of Rock" album alongside solo favourites such as "Before the Devil Knows You´re Dead", "Miss Claustrophobia" and "Hangin On" in a set that promises to storm the stage!
