Kasabian gig sells out in hours
Kasabian broke 53 Degrees' box office records this weekend by having their show sell out within hours of tickets being on sale at 9am on Saturday.
Both www.53degrees.net and www.lancashiretickets.com experienced a high volume of visitors over the weekend (more than ten times the average). The gig was announced on Thursday morning on 53degrees.net and social networking site 'Twitter' (follow 53 Degrees at www.twitter.com/53degrees).
Marketing Assistant Vicky Lyth said "we expected the show to be a sell out, but I thought it would take a couple of days. We were astonished to find that the majority of tickets had gone by 10am, with the rest gone by 11am."
