Review of Airborne Toxic Event and Ten Bears at DIY.
Writer Ben Smith and photographer Hannah Dornford-May were both in attendance at our recent DIY event which showcased Manchester band Ten Bears and LA based 'The Airborne Toxic Event'.
Ten Bears got described as "Led by baby faced lead singer, Sam Hammond, they throw themselves into their set with an energy rarely seen in the 'been there, seen it all' stylings of the local music scene. It's a breath of fresh air."
Whilst Airborne Toxic Event had this accolade: "Musically they are more akin to Modest Mouse with hints of Franz Ferdinand and The Killers but lyrically they rise above their peers. Frontman, Mike Jollet, sings with fervour and passion. You can feel him mean every single word... it won't be long before The Airbourne Toxic Event are a staple on the UK music scene."
