Jamie T at 53!
"Calm down dearest", you can see Jamie T live at 53 Degrees, Preston this October, "if you got the money" of course.
The Wimbledon troubadour had Glastonbury’s John Peel tent overflowing last Friday as people crammed in to hear his performance filled with hits from 2007 Top 5 Album ‘Panic Prevention’ and new tracks from freshly released second EP ‘Sticks N’ Stones’. Now he’s announced a full UK tour this autumn which will pass through Preston on Saturday 10th October at the 1500 capacity 53 Degrees venue.
Jamie is no stranger to Preston, making his debut performance in the city in late 2006 at 53 Degrees’ weekly clubnight ‘Promo’, which has a great history of showcasing the freshest musical talent as part of its entertainment package. He returned to Preston just over 6 months later to play the main stage at the huge Radio One’s Big Weekend festival in Moor Park, but he didn’t stop there, he’s also treated locals to, not one, but two secret free gigs at Church Street’s Kolor Bar and independent music shop Action Records. Now with the ‘Sticks N’ Stones’ EP released this week and second full studio album ‘Kings And Queens’ poised for a later summer release, Jamie is set to play his biggest gig in the city to date.
This gig is already the 8th to be confirmed for 53 Degrees in October, alongside Tinchy Stryder, Nerina Pallot, Zero 7, N-Dubz, Calvin Harris, Little Boots and the sold out Dizzee Rascal show. So it looks like music lovers will have plenty to keep them entertained when the days start to get shorter this autumn.
Tickets go on sale on Friday June 3rd.
