Little Boots returns to 53 Degrees
Fleetwood’s finest electro-popstar is following up the release of her debut album ‘Hands’ with her biggest tour yet.
Just last March, the 25 year old sensation from Thornton and her band played to a packed house at 53 Degrees’ 400 capacity clubroom as part of the venue’s flagship weekly club night ‘Promo’. Now with a Top 20 hit single ‘New In Town’ and a Top 5 album ‘Hands’ under her belt it’s time to take the big stage at the designer built 1500 capacity Preston venue.
Tickets go on sale on Friday 26th as Little Boots takes the stage for her debut performance at Glastonbury, a day she’ll also be appearing and playing on the BBC’s Friday Night with Johnathon Ross as the acts profile shoots through the roof this summer.
Playing piano since the age of 5 and writing her own material since high school, Little Boots, or Victoria Hesketh as they knew her back then, has already amassed a great deal of experience at the tender age of 25. After taking part in Pop Idol at the age of 16, she toured Europe with a jazz trio before cutting her indie teeth fronting Dead Disco. In 2007 she decided it was time to go solo, stating in an interview with The Times “All the time I'd been hiding my own songs and finally I had to make the sort of music I actually wanted to listen to…..Before I used to always think, ‘What would a jazz performer do?' or ‘What would the band do?' - Now it's so easy because it's ‘What would I do?' It's just me.”
Little Boots will be bringing herself, her band and her Tenori-on to 53 Degrees, Preston on Mon 26th Oct 2009, for an event not to be missed. Tickets are on sale Friday 26th June 2009.
