Pendulum DJ Set & MC Verse to hit 53
Pendulum have been dominating dancefloors worldwide for five years now, and when I say dominating, I mean total domination.
From their drum & bass roots Pendulum have exploded into almost every arena; rock clubs, students unions, town centre nightclubs, anywhere in any town, Pendulum’s distinctive singles will bring even the most tepid dancefloor to the boil the instant that beat kicks in.
On Friday 21st May they’ll be delivering their ground shaking DJ set to 53 Degrees, and amazingly they’ve chosen to play in the venue’s 400 capacity club room, making the event likely to be one of the most intense nights the venue has ever seen.
Pendulum began as a drum & bass act in their native Australia in 2002, their sound has developed more of a rocky edge over the recent years but still keeping the dance feel. Their 2008 album In Silico made Pendulum the most successful drum & bass act of all time. Their sound is typically heavy beats accompanied by low basslines, overlaid with synthesized leads and rock riffs. A new album, Immersion has been announced for release in May 2010 as they blitz the UK with a full run of live shows and DJ sets.
